Jenny Woodward sent us this little update on her recent ascent of Mark Leach's Mandela at Kilnsey Crag in Yorkshire.

"Anyhow, earlier this summer I was a bit directionless climbing wise. I needed an inspirational line to fire me up.  The line that finally did it surprised me as my head for heights is not great and I'm not known for my roof climbing ability! Somehow though the idea of climbing across the main roof at Kilnsey was planted (it must have been that photo of Mark Leach is his lycra!) . The first trip across was terrifying and I don't really know why I kept trying. Anyhow, after much time cursing the wet weather and my cowardice I finally climbed Mandela yesterday. Much relief for the poor people who kept getting roped into belaying me up in the sky."
