As a company focused on providing the best gear for serious climbers, we wanted to design the ultimate climber's pack, something that would carry all our gear for a full day of cragging, and do it better than anything else around.
With a keen eye for simplicity, sturdiness, and practicality, we created the Aerial, a 38-litre backpack with full suspension. We used 1000D nylon for the key construction panels so the pack will shrug off rocky abuse, and included a removable padded hip belt, padded shoulder straps, and an integral moulded and laminated EVA foam back panel with an aluminium stay.
A wide mouth at the top snaps closed in the middle then rolls and fastens at the sides with quick-release buckles to create a basic and incredibly effective closure. But gearing up could not be simpler: drop the pack to the ground and unzip the YKK splashguard zip straight down the middle of the main compartment for immediate access to all your kit--draws, cams, shoes and all.
Tension straps on the outside can carry your rope, and the Aerial also comes with quick-release buckles that mate with those on the removable tarp of our Voyager Rope Bag. A deep back-panel pocket has clips to accommodate your water bladder and there's an easy-to-grab plastic-reinforced carry handle at the top. There is nothing on this pack that a climber doesn't need and everything he/she does; it's tough, comfortable, and unbelievably easy to use, staying true to the concept, "100 percent climbing."
The dimesions of this pack are 56 x 32 x 28 cm and I've taken this as carry-on luggage with EasyJet.
