Rest holiday, minus the rest :/

Well it feels like I have been going 100mph lately with competitions, work, and pressure on myself to try and climb hard blocs on top of it all. So the plan was to come out to my mums house in Spain for 8 days of eating food and sitting on my arse. She runs a nice little accomodation business out here and her place is rather nice (not a bias opinion, honest), check out her website http://casamauri.wordpress.com/. Unfortunately/fortunately she lives in the heart of Catalan and the heart of sport climbing paradise and even more unfortunate/fortunate, Adam Jeeworth and his uncle Carl were out here and keen to climb, so my 8 rest days turned into 3 rest days and 5 climbing days. Considering I’ve not actually tied onto a rope for nearly two years I did not expect much, which only added to my surprise as I was able to climb a long 8a on my first day :-0, the same thing happened to next day :-0 :-0, After a rest day I was doing overlapping links on 8b’s but didnt quite have the fitness to link them.

Its not hard to see why people only sport climb out here, the place is damn bloody good and I can say without doubt that I would convert my UK bouldering passion to Spanish route passion if I had to oppotunity to live out here, you Spanish are lucky gits! Anyhow, along with lots of climbing and rest, I have done a lot of site seeing and venue checking, this place is great! Here are a few general snaps from around Llieda, my mums pad and some cool climbing venue’s that aren’t the super popular ones but still amazing:-

I do now have an idea in my head of specific climbs I want to do in the UK when I’m back but I’m playing my cards close to my chest on this one.
